Visit to Westfield school York


 Today we visited Westfield primary school as part of a community challenge.

We spoke to the children about the daily lives of hedgehogs and the protection of.

Throughout our visit the children learnt about log piles and the importance of them.



We also talked about surveillance tunnels and how they are used to discover if there are any hedgehogs in the local area 


The children was also shown hedgehog feeding stations, hybernaculas and bug hotels.

These children seemed to thoroughly enjoy participating with a hands on approach, along with learning about hedgehog's.

We learnt the following day that hedgehog prints discovered in the surveillance tunnels.
